MUSIC ON THE SQUARE NO RESERVE AUCTION
Our Auction is designed to create a safe and fair environment for all MOTS members. Learning what's allowed can help you avoid unintentionally breaking the rules and helps everyone in working with reliable, trustworthy members.
We want to make our website as safe, fair, and enjoyable as possible. As a buyer, you’ll need to review and understand MOTS rules, before you bid on or buy an item.
These rules are intended to:
· Minimize risks to buyers
· Make sure no buyer has an unfair advantage
· Create an enjoyable buying experience
Rules about bidding and paying
√ You can’t bid for an item, or use MOTS at all, if you have false information on your account. MOTS needs to be able to get in touch with all Buyers to insure that you are a real person buying product.
√ You must pay for any item you buy. Particular items are sold in an auction-style format because bidding on the particular items is a lot of fun. REMEMBER that each bid you make is a binding contract to buy the item if you win. Not paying for an item after you have agreed to buy it has some negative consequences. MOTS reserves the right to exclude any user from bidding if it determines that the bidder is attempting to manipulate the bid process or has a record of not fulfilling his/her end of the contract. The bottom line is, don’t place any bid unless you mean it.
MOTS does understand that you may make a mistake in bidding so you are allowed to retract a bid under very specific circumstances.
For example, if you meant to bid $10 but bid $100 instead, you can retract the bid. Even then, you're required to immediately bid the amount you intended. Never use bid retraction to manipulate the bidding process. It’s unfair, and it has serious consequences. If MOTS determines you to be manipulating the process, you will be banned from the process.
√ Make sure you read the item description before you bid. It is not the responsibility of MOTS to insure that you know what you are buying. If you win the auction and then conclude the item is not what you wanted, you still must honor the auction and pay for the item.
√ You must be honest and have good intentions when you participate (or initiate) any resolution process. If you have any problem during the auction process, we are happy to hear from you and help resolve any issues.
